SixEight Mission
Life is a beautiful journey full of victories, challenges, unforgettable moments, regrettable actions, and opportunities to make an impact. We are all on a journey together through this crazy thing called life.
When I first started blogging I set out to proclaim activism and social justice to anyone who would listen. My journeys around the world and my experiences with the marginalized spurred me to action, and I wanted everyone around me to join in.
But what I realized is that activism is one part of the life God wants us to lead. God wants us to lead a rich life, full of memories and intentional moments. Intentional moments include acts of social activism and acts of good ‘neighborism’. They include bold statements to proclaim freedom and quiet moments of peace and stillness. They include sacrificial acts of giving and times of 
self care and joyful celebration. Life is full of all of these things, and I realized that the journey I want to share with the world involves all of the things that make an intentionally lived life so beautiful. Micah 6:8 says it well:
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Justice.
Mercy.
Journey.
That’s what this blog is about. It’s about seeking and proclaiming justice. It’s about extending grace and mercy to everyone we meet. And it’s about taking an intentional, rich journey with God through life. And it’s about open, honest and raw conversations about all three of those pieces.
